While working for Beacon Products from 1994- 1999, Robert worked with master fabricators where he learned how to finish aluminum, cut, bend, and further fabricate the material. His mentors taught him how to manipulate the material and improvise by making tools for every aspect of fabrication.
While doing odd jobs such as building T-Tops, Towers, And custom gates, his artistry finally fell into place. The catalyst piece that changed his vision from regular day jobs to pursuing art full time was an aluminum gate with dolphins and a sunburst! By keeping in mind the trades he learned, he was able to design and fashioning many of his own tools to achieve a one of a kind creation.
